Sustainable Shopping App

Overview
This was one of the 5 problem statements that my team worked on during the 24 Hr Design Marathon event in Inter IIT Cultural Meet 7.0. We developed a short user flow and designed the UI screens for the same with an AR working prototype, using Unity. Our team won a gold medal in this event among all the 23 participating IITs.
Problem Description
Shoppers want to make eco-friendly choices but face challenges like lack of information, motivation, and engaging experiences. The goal is to create an intuitive app that simplifies sustainable shopping with curated products, impact scores, and gamified incentives, making eco-conscious decisions easy and rewarding.
Proposed Solution
To make sustainable shopping more engaging and rewarding, I have developed the following key features and enhancements for the app:

Basic competitor analysis was done to see the existing solutions in this space and how the products are being implemented in the industry.

Information Architecture

Design Language
Colors were selected such that they represent sustainability, eco-friendliness, and nature. Green tones are strongly associated with environmental consciousness, which aligns perfectly with the app's mission of promoting sustainable shopping.

Closing Thoughts
This was the last time that I was participating in the Inter IIT Cultural Meet and it ended on a very special note that our design team won 2 gold medals and got a overall 3rd position among all the 23 IITs. I am really proud of our talented team of designers from our very own MoodBoard Design Club IIT Patna, and consider, and leading this team was a really great experience!
