Daily Mantra

From MVP to Top-10 on Play Store

Overview

The design objective was to create an experience that leads users from ambiguity to action: choosing a real-life challenge, receiving an authoritative mantra, and entering a distraction-free chant mode with lightweight tracking that feels devotional rather than gamified.

The 0→1 scope focused on three key touchpoints: Problem Intake, Recommendation, and Chant Screen.

Problem

Users motivated to chant often lack a simple, trustworthy path from specific needs (e.g., anxiety, career blocks, family harmony) to the right mantra, leading to choice overload and inconsistent practice in generic meditation apps. Existing spiritual tools rarely connect problem → mantra → usage guidance in a single flow with the ritual clarity needed for daily japa, creating gaps in confidence, adherence, and perceived efficacy.

Logo Design

The Flame (Lau): Represents purification, inner focus, and enlightenment. It symbolizes burning away impurities, channeling prayers, and guiding devotees toward clarity and spiritual growth.

The Lotus: Stands for purity, creation, and spiritual awakening. Rising above the mundane, it embodies divine consciousness, prosperity, wisdom, and the unfolding journey of self-realization.

Mantra Japa Connection: Repetition of mantras mirrors the flame’s transformative power and the lotus’s gradual unfolding. It brings calm, discipline, and deeper spiritual connection.

Why It Works: Together, the lotus and flame create a visual metaphor of inner transformation and purity. The logo draws from deeply rooted cultural symbols, inspiring trust, aspiration, and authenticity for all users.

Chant Counter Prototype

Leveraged Figma’s variable prototyping to design a Rudraksha scrolling animation with an integrated counter, linking the digital chanting flow to the real-life experience of using a Rudraksha mala.
